Land clearing in Hillsborough County, FL

Hillsborough County is home territory: we are based in Tampa and clear, grade and haul for lots across the county with our own equipment and one crew.

Land clearing in Hillsborough County

We are based in Tampa, so Hillsborough County is where we are closest to the work. We work with homeowners, builders, investors and agents to clear overgrown lots, prepare a parcel for construction, or get a property cleaned up before a sale.

Permits and rules in Hillsborough County

  • Unincorporated Hillsborough County. The county lists a Land Alteration and Landscaping permit as required before clearing residential land, and a natural resources permit before clearing commercial sites and subdivisions. Tree removal permits are handled through the county’s online portal, some species are exempt, and Grand Oaks have stricter rules.
  • Tampa, Plant City and Temple Terrace. Properties inside these cities follow the city’s own tree removal rules. Contact the city directly.
  • Large earthwork. Excavating or hauling off more than 10,000 cubic yards of earth material requires a land excavation permit. Most residential lots are far below that.

Rules and fees change, so confirm with the county or your city before work starts. Details on this page were checked on the official pages on September 18, 2026.
